New Ride... Thanks again Sammy (and CO)
There have been several messages on various Oldsmobile boards complaining about getting ripped off and having unpleasant experiences with other members so I wanted to chime in about transactions I have had. I've been lucky enough to have had completely opposite experiences.
I want to thank all the members who put in all the time to help us less experienced mechanics out. I can't tell you how much money I have saved and information I have learned from you guys.
I have bought 2 cars from different members of this board and both were bought actually site unseen physically (risky). The first was a 1972 Cutlass Supreme (slight restomod). The previous owner send me plenty of video and the car was exactly as described.
I sold it only to try to find my favorite model/year Oldsmobile; a 1968 442. I found a convertible but came to the realization that project wasn't right for me. I sold it without having anything lined up but kept looking for an automatic, preferably willow gold 1968 442. All other options weren't huge factors to me.
Long story short...another member messaged me and had exactly what I was looking for. I almost couldn't believe it. Sammy (Ted) was incredibly easy to work with and I never had any doubt on my purchase. He went above and beyond to help get the car from Canada to the states and kept me in the loop with every step. I now have this beautiful 1968, Canadian built, 442 in better then the shape I was originally looking for. I would not hesitate at all doing business with him again.
Thanks again CO (and Ted)! I am looking forward to enjoying another great Oldsmobile.
My son loves the car too!

Nice! I wondered what Ted did with that car and now I know. We saw that car in the build stage and it looks like Ted did an awesome job restoring it! Did you also get the GM heritage information for the car? Since it's Canadian built that info is available, unlike units sold in the USA. Congratulations on a great looking ride. C'mon up and see us sometime, eh?
