Build sheet attached....finally. I've only had the car a month. This is how I bought it. Car was originally gold. Car was driven in '09 from Calgary to Ontario where the kid that I bought it from parked it. It sat for 2 years - and then I saved it - awesome. I've actually located the original man who ordered the car in 1969 from the Freemont plant and am waiting to hear back from him. I also found the 2 tags that were underneath the carpet in the backseat from Allen Industries in Comption California, indicating that the carpet was put in on Aug 15 1969. The fisher cowl tag reads 00449 and the vin indicates it was a 891 car (100891).
The block unit number's first 3 letters is 39X - 3 olds, 9-1969 X-KC
She's a twister 455 high compression. The original owner's manual has the ID and warranty card removed - and I'm guessing since the block was cast in Nov 69, that maybe it was replaced under warranty from the original 350 to the 455. More to come. Ideas? Questions? Ted

questions
My car has the 350/5.7 liter produced 2nd week of 6-1970 sold June 26th out of Charlie Stuart Olds. I have the original P.O.P. and window sticker. No build sheet, Lansing cars are infamous for not being found.
The EX may mean exported on you build sheet? There are 70-71 Cutlass Supreme SX they all began life as 7.4 liters/455 either 2bbl or 4bbl versions.

Actually, this is the form you need to fill out and fax in. As you can see they charge a fee. The part of GM that does this is "Vintage Vehicle Services" - not the Historical Center

You will get a package back from George Zapora with a lot of technical stuff in it about 1970 production.
My car is a 72 and this is one of the the cover sheets that accompanied the package:

thanx for the ideas and info- Today I found the soft trim broadcast sheets stuffed under backseat between cushion and springs. All the interior codes and option codes match the build sheet codes.Mice had made a nest out of the other in the back of the drivers seat-but i salvaged pieces and it looks like the other.-cool!
