Absolutely & IMHO it's the best looking of all of the 64-72 442's.

66- 68 convertible only and 70-71 are all beautiful cars. 64-67..definitely the 66 takes the cake. 67 got eyes to far apart, sits odd and just not clean in my opinion..

Trunk lid on, lights in, windshield in, fenders on. Fenders aren’t adjusted yet but making progress. I think I will start polishing the stainless next or put rear bumper on. I also need to put the front grill, headlights assemblies together and back on too. Hmm, where to start?

I got most of the trim polished, taped off and painted. Got the new tires mounted on the super stock 1 wheels. Need to install trim and bumpers next.

Hi Andy, that trim looks great - what are you using to polish? I had only partial success with harbor freight cotton buffing wheels and grey compound so I now have a few alternatives on order from renegade (those orange and yellow ones I believe).

‘using harbor freight wheels and a black and white compound. They aren’t like mirrors etc, I also used 0000 steel wool and blue stainless polish. My trim was in pretty good shape, the taping off and painting the argent silver and the black was time consuming as well. I used vht ford argent silver high heat paint.

Really nice Andy. I thought mine were decent enough to start but they must require a coarser grit prior to the cotton wheel to get the job done. We shall see. Thanks for the motivation, your car is looking terrific.

It’s coming together, slow but sure. Exciting!! It’s starting to look like a 442..making progress..that’s what’s important..🤓 Next up, align front fenders and put the front end / grill etc together.

Charley, I do not belong to the Florida chapter, mainly because I am in Sarasota and most events are Tampa and Orlando or the east coast so I would rarely attend. I am an OCA member however. Do,you know if they ever do anything in south west Florida? Lower gulf coast?

Andy,
The majority of the club members live in the Tampa area.
However, they are trying to move the meeting locations around central Florida to attract a larger membership.
There isn't any more activity for the summer. The next big event will be the BOPC meet in Auburndale in October.

thanks, I talked to John Spinella every now and then he’s the chapter president I believe.

John was president. Pat Whissel took over this year again.
But John is still an active member.
Hope to see you, and your car, at BOPC in October.
