New project..66 L69 basket case
Absolutely & IMHO it's the best looking of all of the 64-72 442's.
Trunk lid on, lights in, windshield in, fenders on. Fenders aren’t adjusted yet but making progress. I think I will start polishing the stainless next or put rear bumper on. I also need to put the front grill, headlights assemblies together and back on too. Hmm, where to start?
Hi Andy, that trim looks great - what are you using to polish? I had only partial success with harbor freight cotton buffing wheels and grey compound so I now have a few alternatives on order from renegade (those orange and yellow ones I believe).
‘using harbor freight wheels and a black and white compound. They aren’t like mirrors etc, I also used 0000 steel wool and blue stainless polish. My trim was in pretty good shape, the taping off and painting the argent silver and the black was time consuming as well. I used vht ford argent silver high heat paint.
Really nice Andy. I thought mine were decent enough to start but they must require a coarser grit prior to the cotton wheel to get the job done. We shall see. Thanks for the motivation, your car is looking terrific.
It’s coming together, slow but sure. Exciting!! It’s starting to look like a 442..making progress..that’s what’s important..🤓 Next up, align front fenders and put the front end / grill etc together.
Look'in good, Andy,

The majority of the club members live in the Tampa area.
However, they are trying to move the meeting locations around central Florida to attract a larger membership.
There isn't any more activity for the summer. The next big event will be the BOPC meet in Auburndale in October.
