Need a little help

Hello there Oldsmobile nuts....have some questions that I hope some of you might be able to help me with. I have a 1975 Oldsmobile cutlass supreme brougham that I am getting road ready again. all of the heater components were stripped out of the car when I got it and I am trying to locate all of the wiring, relays, blower motor, heater core, housing under the hood and vent tubs....pretty much everything under the hood and inside the car. does anyone know were I might be able to purchase this stuff or of any salvage yards that might carry this stuff, or of any other makes or models that would interchange. Thanks

48911 is in Michigan.

I'm pretty sure that you can use 1973-1976 Cutlass models (including Vista Cruiser/Cutlass Cruiser) as donors for your needs. The heater/AC would be the same for all of them IIRC. I believe the 1977 models had a different right side dash vent system, but likely it could be adapted to fit your car. The sad part is (to my knowledge) there's very little being repopped for these cars with the exception of some sheet metal, so donor cars are your best source.

Have you by any chance checked the G body Forums?

1973-1977, actually. And Chevelle, LeMans, Century, Regal, Monte, Grand Prix are all suitable donors in addition to Cutlii for the parts on the firewall and under the dash. The Olds-specific parts are the control panel, dash vents, and associated tubing and wiring.

Thanks for the clarification on other donors Joe, that should give him a much wider range of cars to look for.

...... just a note on Olds specific though. The dash pad (right side) changed in 77 so the vent grills and mounting aren't compatible. They're rectangular instead of round. Minor issue to work around though.

Thanks. I didn't appreciate that.

As I read it Joe wasn't offended, it was his way of saying he didn't consider the difference.

I just noticed a thread - it might help you. John McNeel (goes by 2blu442 on this site) might be able to help you with some of the search items? He's a great guy to deal with and very fair in pricing and shipping. He's recovering from knee replacement right now so I'm not sure how quick he could get back to you.

Thanks Henry. I was just checking. Guess there's so many different ways to interpret words at times. Good thing is we're all on the same page trying to help the OP out.

While I realize it can be difficult to separate my sarcasm from sincerity, in this case I really did mean thanks. I've never been a fan of the mid-70s cars and I'm not as well versed in them.
