if it is a 4 core with the correct codes it don't surprise me. i was told about a year ago that it was close to $500 to recore a set of original tanks and i sold a set of original tanks a couple months ago for $150. i know that $650 is a long way from $1500 but with NOS attached to the part it makes crazy prices.... but then again, he obviously hasn't sold it yet either.

I paid 1100 dollars for my entire cutlass.

I GUESS if you have an All-Original-Numbers-Matching-4-4-2-W-30. It might be worth it,

But even then. A wise man once told me, gauge your price on beer and lap dances. Based on montreal prices, that's 100 lap dances (Current montreal demographics considered). I'd rather the latter.

I mentioned poutine in a thread once and it sparked a culinary reformation for days.

They have sushi, poutine and a mechanical bull all at the same strip club. You gotta go on a busy night, else the whole place smells like beer and broken dreams.

But, if you just want loads of fun, another mechanical bull and waitresses that dance on the bar like Leanne Rhymes, you can always go to 'chez serge'.

Agreed, I had to unload the dishwasher for a week to repair the damage last time I spent 1500 dollars on hobby stuff.

Man, I had a hard time taking a NOS horn button out of the box, never mind a whole rad.

I just unwrapped some $300 nos 1971 442 tail light lenses fun stuff

I have used the ask for forgiveness instead of permission plan for many years.
Sometimes it works better than others.

I had my 72 supreme for two weeks , wife came out to the garage and saw it. "who's car is that" is what she asked me. When I said "Ours" she went back to the house. Silent treatment for days. I am still unloading the dishwasher for that one , that was 5 years ago....

I think I will stay out of this discussion because I had the original tag and tanks for my 70 w-30 and think I spend $800 to restore the radiator. Maybe I should have gone for the lap dances.

It takes someone to buy it to be able to say that it was worth that, but I am sure there is someone out there that will take it.
I remember about 10yrs ago or so,I found someone with an NOS 70 radiator support, with the GM sticker on it,for $1500.00. I had never seen one,and with that way I like things perfect,I bought it.About 5yrs later,I found another one for $700.00,so I bought that one.In a way,I have $1100.00 in each support,if you average it out.Still on the high side, but purdy.I guess it's good that I have my original radiators,or at least the original tanks,or I might bite that bullet.

Yeah but Lee,

I did mention, IF you had an all original 4-4-2-w-30, i think it would be worth it.

Not for a guy like me that's too cheap to buy aftermarket fenders to put on his car.

For what they are, i agree, i'm waiting for someone on this site to sell me some nice used ones that i can throw some paint on and use.

My buddy bought some chinesium fenders for his C@maro last year, the fit was HORRIBLE, and we went through 4 packs of shims to try to make it fit.

I've bought LOTS of OEM parts from Scott, the fit is PERFECT. I'd rather clean up and paint a part then screw around with some aftermarket garbage.

handy dandy lap dance conversion table to canadian $$$$

Well if 100 lap dances are $1500 (we will take Tony's werd on this number)then $800 price of fenders = 53.333 lap dances

And just think of all the money saved in shipping charges

It's kinda funny, there was a short on this on the local news a couple years ago, foreigners are used to paying more money for their ladies, and would do so when they came to town, so montreal girls tried to up their prices from 15 to 20 dollars.

There was almost a cultural revolution in the downtown area lol
