If you drive it with the windows open I don't see it as being any more unsafe than driving a boat.

Is the car a piece of ****? Yes! Does it deserve the "most unsafe car of all time"?, not by a long shot.

I probably would have put the seat belt around the gas can though

I've seen worse with the exception of the holes in the floor, never seen anything like that

lol, if you could only see the pile i drove down the road one time. i only went a mile and back but if a cop would have seen me... it would have been a 72 cutlass in that picture.

ZERO brakes
hole in floor like that one
frame rusted so bad the rear end is falling out
gas can and battery on the hood

ya... i am showing my intelligence but where i live, you won't see a car for hours at a time.

I can usually say, "I've driven worse," but not this time.

I did run a '61 Mercedes with floors about like that once, but that model had masonite floor boards that sat an inch above the metal floor, and they were intact, so I guess it's not the same thing.

Thing is, I've gotten cars for free, or for $25, that were much better than that, so why the *(^$ was that guy driving that car?

Interesting - people used to drive jalopies like that quite often long ago. You know, back in the days when it was okay to let the kids ride in the bed of the truck, the kids in the back window dash... I have seen much worse, and many times they do not get caught.. I remember a high school buddy whose 67 Dodge truck popped a fuel pump in the boonies. His friend ran a hose from the carb to the cab and sat there dribbling gas into a funnel to get him home.

That sure is a trashy website though. Wont even let me see the pictures for more than 2 seconds. Oh, aol - thats normal.

Somebody's been watching the Red Green show. But being from MN, I'm sure he had a nice set of jumper cables.

If this Pinto had a set of 1970's vintage Firestone 500's on it, then there would have been reason for concern.
