master cylinder bleeding
master cylinder bleeding
I think I have air bubbles in my 1962 F85 master cylinder (original to car). I don't see any bleeding ports on it, just one line coming out that splits into the wheel lines. Can I bleed the master cylinder on the car (instead of bench bleeding)? Will the master cylinder bleed out by bleeding the brakes one at a time? Thanks for any help.

Use a new section of brake line from an auto parts store to loop the master fluid output back into the reservoir. When done bleeding the master bleed the wheels.
Be careful using a master that old, the internal seals may be in need of replacement leading to brake failure. That is probably a single master, not converted to a tandem correct?
Good luck!!!
