Its been for sale for a while, saw it last April. Even with the 4spd a Jetstar with the 330 is not that appealing to me and man is that car roached out. Maybe a 1000 dollar car and someone would most likely buy it for the 4spd stuff only.... Super rare car but as they say rare doesn't always mean desirable.

^^^THIS!!! If it were close to $1000, I probably WOULD buy it for the 4spd parts. Unfortunately, Alabama is a humid climate and there the rust on that car will make a resto prohibitive. If that car were in Phoenix for $3000, my answer might be different, but there are a LOT of unobtainium parts that car needs. "Fixing" the fact that it is only a 330 is the easiest part of this...

I agree, $3k is high for a car that's good only for parts. Maybe if there were another classic Olds for sale in the area. Then it would be worth a plane ticket or a trip with a truck and a trailer. Hmmm... now all I have to do is convince momma.

Was the Muncie 4 speed identical between the 330 and the 425/455?

Yes. The rarity is that the B-body transmissions were long tail versions. And of course the clutch pedals, linkage, and z-bar are unique to the 65-70 Olds full size cars.
