Just bought a 70 442 w30
Just bought this 1970 442 w30 center console auto. Bucket seats. Decent project , does have some body issues . Too bad it doesn't have the original engine . Original paint was a orange. Vin # 344870M******
Is that a pearl white interior. Nice body ... what is the exterior trim code. don't tell me there was an orenge in 70 was there? Matador red maybe?
If your looking for a 70 dated block I have two to choose from, just south of you.

I plan on giving it a frame on resto , i just can't afford the frame off at this time. As long as I can get it street ready I will be satisfied . I'm not looking to win any car shows , lol . Hopefully someday I can do a frame off . I have 3 daughters and no money , lol ... Im already hearing it from the wife , lol ... Too much junk as she says , and we look like a used car lot . I have a total of 5 oldsmobiles . Oldmobiles run through my veins ! By the way here's a pic of the interior .
Cool thanks for the paint code , how could i go about getting the original paint ? By the way I like your Avatar , yellow olds . I have been working on a 70 cutlass w30 clone , here's my olds .
Nice Olds, nugget gold was another special order paint, picture is of mine but doesn't have side stripeIMAG0036.jpg
If you don't have the braodcast card on the special order -- matador red w30 car, you can do it in sebring yellow like your clone or the gold for that matter. That paint code -- is good for four different colors- the forth being some aqua green color; not sure what they call it.

>Sebring Yellow
>Aegean Aqua (the color lunaboy refers to.....It's fairly stunning as well...especially with a contrasting W stripe color and interior)
>Nugget Gold
>Rally Red - the orange-ish red color your car is.
You may want to spend some time viewing pics of the various colors, going to some events and finding some painted in these colors and/or having a shop do some sprayouts/samples for you (may cost some $ for that). I've seen the Aegean Aqua in a number of "iterations" on cars...some darker than others , some bluer, etc....that was likely done by the owner or painter as the original mixing formulas are readily available.
There's a Aegaen Aqua car ('70 W30 hardtop with black stripes/interior) in the Central TX area.....you can see pics of it on Inline Tube's website. It's a very nice rendition/representation of that color.
The car in our avatar is from your neck of the woods...... Brownsville, Texas. Now living up here in Canada.
Here is a PPG Paint Chart for 1970 Oldsmobile colors, I would imagine most paint supply stores could mix the color for you.

Of all the 4 (- -) special paint codes, I like this Aegean Aqua the best:

Also, there are at least a dozen Orange Rally Red W30's in central Texas already.
