Hurst Dual Gate Identification?
I was on an Oldsmobile pick today and this was in with the other parts i got. I thought it was a Pontiac shifter but now i am not so sure. The guy i got it from had a couple 69 Hurst Olds at one time and I am wondering if it could be from one of them. I had never seen a 68-69 dual gate before. Anyone know what it is from? It is not in great condition but it's solid and works, What would it go for? Anyone need one?

I wish you could have been there today. This is from one of the 3 barns I had told you about. Looks like I will be dealing with this guy for a long time. Got some great parts from him today.

68 GTO by the wood grain going side to side . 69 would be front to back wood grain the rear braket does look like a 70's bracket straight stick says pontiac to me also.

Not from a 68-9 H/O (or 70-2 Cutlass). The shifter handle on those has a curve in it. I'm not an expert on the Pontiac versions, but that top plate looks like it is made to fit a full console as well. The woodgrain doesn't match any of the Olds applications either (and they were different every year except 71-2).
For reference, attached is a side shot of the one in my 69 (you'll have to look real close to see the bend in the handle)...

yes..68 GTO someone put a bracket on..no 69s had a dual gate from the factory, they had a slap shifter that looks like a stock shifter....GM was cheap...why buy a hurst when they could engineer one for half....
I could use it if ya decide to sell
