Dual Gate Shifter cable identification

I've got two shifter cables for the '70 Cutlass. One is from Year One and is supposed to be for the DualGate shifter. This one still has the packaging from Year One which includes YO part#8387N which they identify as being for the Dual Gate. However, the GM part number - gr 4.047, #498467 - does not agree with what I think is the correct GM #406266 number. Also, this cable measures out to 30".

My research has been inconclusive on this, but it seems to be that the Dual Gate cable should be 30 1/2" in length.

I've checked YearOne, Fusick, OPGI, Brothers, Tamraz, etc. Some give a length, some don't.

The second cable I have measures out to 30 1/2" which seems to be correct for the Dual Gate. This makes sense to me because I removed the entire Dual Gate shifter from a Rallye 350 about 20 years ago. I cannot remember for sure if I got the cable too, but this cable makes me think that I did.

I've included pics of both. Can you guys give me your thoughts on this?

I can't answer your question but I'm curious as well.

I have a dual gate in my car and it doesn't line up correctly when shifted. May it be that I have an aftermarket cable that's to long?

Is there any adjustments? by the look of the cable it doesn't look so.

There is an adjustment on the linkage on the side of the transmission. There is a slot on the shifter ear where the cable attaches that allows a little movement. This is the best picture I could locate showing the adjustment slot:
