how to remove shift lever/stick from 69 442 Hurst shifter?

Supposed to be 69 hurst shifter from 442.

How do you get the lever/stick off?

Does it come off by removing the small bolt with locknut down at bottom, or do you have to press out what appears to be two pins?

The reason I'm asking is that I took nut off of bolt (which also has a small plate that the bolt goes through) and the bolt isn't budging when i try to back it out.

I thought I'd better stop and ask before going any further. I've got to swap the stick to one that is in better shape.

This is an original Hurst stamp (comp plus?) shifter mechanism with the 442 stamped lever/stick.

Thanks for any guidance before I kill a decent part.

Here is a picture of what i'm talking about.

This isn't my part as I'm out of town, but it shows the connections that I'm talking about. you can see the plate and bolt/nut at bottom of stick, but you can also see the two holes in side that I was asking if those are pins that have to be pressed out and back in to swap lever/stick.

Thanks,

Well, THAT went better than expected....

Thanks for the responses. Went to the link, followed the instructions, settled in for an hour long battle and it was out in probably 20 seconds max. Just starting with the right size feeler guage was a big help. Either had been off sometime in recent past or it simply hadn't corroded enough to freeze up.

Thanks again for the helpful direction on where to look,

d
