Hidden hitch

In Cape Breton Nova Scotia this past weekend I passed a caravan of classic cars and trucks towing travel trailers. Everything from a '69 442 to a '56 Crown Vic and lots of fifties pickups. Has anyone ever installed a hidden hitch on a '62 Starfire convertible?
Thanks Dennis

You'd need to custom make that hitch. Obviously no one sells a pre-made one. Since the tank filler neck is in the fender, there is room to do this at the license plate location. The problem is that the gas tank is in the way, so you'd still have the body of the hitch hanging down under the car, with a big jog to get the receiver lined up with the license plate location. At that point, it probably doesn't make sense structurally to do this.
