Talking finally!!!!

well I did it, i finally got a 66 cutlass. Ive wanted one since before i could drive. my grandpa along with his stories of his 66 442 are what got me hooked on oldsmobile. until now a 66 was out of my reach and the ones i could afford either sold really fast or were a complete mess. But finally today i brought home a 66 f85, vin decodes to f85 standard club coupe 6 cylinder. from looking at it its obvious it was a 3 on the tree though someone put an auto brake pedal in. excited to finally have one, now i have both of my favorite olds.

Nice..like that stout chevy pickup too. What is that a 78,79? Just the photo of the classic truck hauling the classic car is great. And I like the front plate on the F85. Nice find!

Nice score
F-85 Deluxe or std?
too bad the hood is gone, those are like a 442 hood unless Deluxe.
The good news- with a L6 engine, the OTHER side of the radiator support will be rotted from the RH battery, so you can get a donor patch piece out of any common V8 car.

Why not get a 330 with the forged crank? can be bored to 350 if you

or a 425...

its a standard as far as i can tell and i do have the hood, hood is in primer. it is rusty on the right hand side, passenger, cool to know that. i was set on a 330 but i already have a cam and manual flywheel that works on 350/455. dont feel like buying again to fit 330 or 425. and im not looking to put a big block in it

That's a great find. Those '66 and 7s are really nice drivers with the 6 cyl or, better yet, a SBO. You definitely have a sharp line of vehicles going on there. Have a good New Year!

im inclined to agree with you, i would have still purchased it if it was a hard top but i love the fact that it is a bare, no options base model post car. I had a 62 f85 like this and loved it, only got rid of it because of the severe rust.
