There are a few threads covering this over the past few months.

Are you kidding? Good thing it does get better. “The trees grew up in and amongst and around them.”
That is called neglect.

How many different threads can we have about the Lambrecht auction?

I'm with Kurt. Despite all the media hype, the vast majority of these cars, even the low mileage ones, are in very sorry condition, unfortunately.

Ok, Ok, Ok......I apologize for not performing due diligence and searching for hours before taking the risk of posting a redundant thread!! Please stop beating me over the head...I've sincerely learned my lesson . Geez, I'm really, really glad I didn't suffer the misfortune of having a misspelling in my post. I've seen how that can get you jumped on around here. Administrators, please, please delete this post before I offend anyone else!!!!!!!!!!!! Thanks!

Scott, thanks for posting the link. While I've heard about this auction in the past I hadn't seen many pictures. The Stars and Stripes actually did an article on this auction a few months ago with 2 or 3 pics. The slideshow through the NY Times website worked fine on my computer. It's difficult to see pics and video on computers over here in the 'Stan.

I'll be there but only as a spectator. If you look at proxibid.com you'll see some of the pre auction bids. You'd better have deep pockets to afford the nice cars that have been stored inside. The rest of them look like hulks from a distance, very rusty. They're expecting 10,000 people, though I can't imagine it. The town is only 1700 or so. It will be a zoo!!!
