Here's my 350. Now it's a 455. Soon to be done with a Tremec 5 speed.

Great engine pics. I need the motivation too. Waiting on the heads to come back from the machine shop then resume assembly.

I am thinking of going with a scheme similar to Alex above. Gold block, chrome valve covers, and unpainted Edelbrock Performer RPM intake.

The bottom half is a spectre from autozone and the top is a summitracing brand filter top. Both re useable.

Quick disconnect starter wires made my life easier with a full size starter by a long shot.

Trip, are those the AR headers? I'm thinking about buying a set for mine. I have 1 7/8" Thorley's right now but I want to upgrade to the 2" AR headers Those look nice

Yes those are the AR headers. They are gorgeous, if you can call headers gorgeous AR makes a quality set

Are they the 2"? Will they only work with the Powermaster starter or have you tried another brand? I have the CSR mini-starter and I'm not looking forward to having to buy another one.

Yes I'm using the 2" ones. I would have preferred 1 7/8s but the header flange dictated 2" for a better match. The exhaust ports on the heads are pretty big and 'D' shaped.
I have not even tried my starter yet but it's a RobbMc model so I can clock it in any position. It will be awhile before I get to that point. Right now I'm working with a 1.7 HS rocker to see if the 3/8 push rods will clear. If not it will be 1.6 HS

Have you measured the pushrod length? Do you have pushrods? I have a set of 3/8" oil restricting pushrods 9.8" long that I'll sell for a little over half the cost. They are brand new...

Also, good score on the Bulldog heads...what do those run when you can get them, if you don't mind me asking

I think I'm going to need push rods in the 10.25-10.5 range. I know the valves are taller than stock by roughly 1/2 inch. Once I find out for sure I'll let you know.
3kish, I'm still doing the math lol.

Any chance you're gonna dyno it when it's all said and done? I haven't seen any builds using the Bulldogs...not on here anyway.

I'd love to dyno it and see what it can do. I need to find a local engine dyno. There is a chassis dyno close by but I'd like to see what the engine can do by itself too.
