Dupicolor Gold engine enamel is a good paint remover
I am painting the valve covers for my 70S. I painted them with Rustoleum Aged Copper. It is high temp but not very gas resistant. I cleaned with brake clean and lightly sanded. When the Duplicolor Gold engine enamel was sprayed on top, it peeled the Rustoleum pretty bad underneath, weird.

Whats the main solvent between the two ??? The duplicolor reactivated the rustoleum. Much like when you spray a urethane over a lacquer finish the solvents in the urethane will re activate the lacquer finish. In the automitive refinishing world you would use a waterborne primer to isolate the two or spray very very thin films until you got the desired finish. The over saturation of solvents is what will re activate the paint and make it wrinkle.
