Those codes refer to the Rebuilt Unit Delco referred to when a replacement was ordered.
Those numbers are used widely. In other words a 63D was a replacement for a 1976 63 amp 1102842 alternator.
But also a 1977 63 amp 1102844 Toronado.
So it is not a very accurate way to determine applications, as
other divisions are using the same coding.
