Dealer info.

All the VIN will tell you is which assembly plant built your car. It won't say to which dealership it went. The build sheet would have that information but, if your car was assembled at Lansing, the build sheet won't be there. If your car was built at the other assembly plants (Framingham MA - G, Arlington TX - R, or Fremont CA - Z), your car MIGHT have the build sheet if it hasn't already been removed by a previous owner or left the assembly plant without it. Likely places to find a build sheet are above the gas tank, behind the back seat side panels or behind the door panels, tucked away up behind the dash, or possibly behind the plastic bucket seat back if you have buckets.
I don't think a broadcast card (usually under the rear seat) has the dealer code or destination on it.

There is one other source known as the pop, or protect o plate. It's the plastic warranty card that came as new. Unfortunately, these don't always get transferred or make it through all the owner ship changes.
the pop is a plastic card about twice the size of today's credit cards, it would usually reside in the plastic cover of the owners manual.

You can find out selling dealer info for 1977 and later Oldsmobiles. By providing them with my car's VIN (and paying them $50), I was able to find out from the GM Heritage Center where my '78 Toro was originally sold. Such records were not kept by Oldsmobile prior to the 1977 model year.
