Build Sheets
I've seen alot of talk about build sheets for these cars, they seem very important. Now since I have my dads car that he bought new of the lot, where would I find this build sheet

Build Sheets are a "hit or miss" item, in that sometimes they are found in the car, and sometimes not as they were pitched on the factory floor.
When found, the places they are located varied:
Under the headliner
Stuck in the seat springs
Tucked in the underside of the dash
On the top of the gas tank
The possible locations are as varied as the personalities of the cars who built the car! And again, if could be a search in vain, because it may have never made it into the car at all.

Build sheets are notes for for the assembly line workers, you might liken them to notes for a short order cook in a diner.
They may or may not be left in the car, if you could lay your hands on the paperwork your dad got with the car that would be much more useful, especially as they give great provenance for a classic vehicle.
