Build sheet location?

Where did Olds stash the build sheet on the '72 Cutlass Supreme convertibles? I know the previous owner has added a few options; I am curious as to what I have is original and what has been added.

Olds did not stash it anywhere.

It was supposed to go into a dumpster at the end of the line. Sometimes, it was left (out of sight) in the car instead.

If it is, in your car, it could be anywhere.

Your best bet is to use the VIN & The body tag.The body tag will tell you allot of what you are wanting to know. Ihave also found some under rear seat springs.Dont recall what years but it was always a fluke deal As I have also found then inside 1/4 panels

Mine was in the back seat top cushion, hog ringed to the frame (they put it there to stay). I have found them under the carpet, up in the dash, top of the gas tank sandwiched between the body and tank, it can be almost anywhere if it is in there. I have also found the other hand written sheets with the option codes on them, guess it was for a quick reference going down the line.

Cowl tag top color code "A"

I will start pulling my car apart next time I get to it (it is currently about 5000 miles away from me). One thing I do know is that the cowl tag shows the convertible top is color code "A". Year One shows a color of "Buckskin" available and that kinda sorta sounds like what it ought to be. Currently, the top is a dirty old tan. Maybe that is supposed to be "Buckskin". I want to to be certain I replace the top with the original color. I've looked on the 'net but I can't find what top color code "A" represents. Any ideas?
