Carlisle
Did not see the Fall Carlisle thread so let me start, am hoping to be there Thursday, weather seems like it will be nice. I have a Dearborn 3 speed to pick up that was rebuilt by Ed Hartnett and also a repro windshield Auto City Classic that I pre ordered. Who knows what else will be found!
I'm leaving right after lunch today. We'll be in spaces IO13-IO16, which are right on the main drag, just inside Gate 3. Stop by and say Hi. I'm taking the 69 Cutlass wagon this time. Looks like the weather will be nice from Wed-Sat.
Just got home, 8pm. It was a successful day, got my trans, got my windshield, got a package tray from Fusick. I found a 67 side mirror missing glass but with mount and screw for 5 bucks. The chrome is nice. Also bought an original 67 442 stick breather assembly. I met up with Wayne and Scott, two Olds guys I have met before and we chatted about a certain 67 Cutlass wagon. Weather was perfect and the crowd though seemed a little sparse as well as vendor count was down. We clocked 9 miles by foot when we finished. Olds parts as usual are few and far between, though I wouldnt miss a Carlisle event.
I made it back about 9pm. Awful traffic going over the Bay Bridge. I only scored a set of 350 a-body headers for $30. Just hope they will fit my supreme. 😁I could have picked up some other things but just couldn't pull the trigger. Have a large house project coming up. I don't know if I walked 9 miles but it sure felt like it.
Great Fall Carlisle despite the rainy Wednesday. Always have fun. Sort of like chicken soup for the soul. Got a chance to see Joe P and his ‘69 wagon. Joe B (Oldsmaniac) stopped by our spots and we chatted for awhile. We sold a few transmissions, some SS2 wheels, quadrajets, etc. so pretty good in terms of sales.
