Carb Rebuild / How often??
2x on what Eric said. Just make sure the hold down bolts and carb screws are snug, they can work loose over time. You didn't specify what kind of carb you had. Throttle shafts can wear into the aluminum base plate over time causing looseness and possibly vacuum leaks. This requires drilling and installing bushings.
These are the answers I wanted to hear!
I have a 72 Delta 88 with a 350/2bbl carb.
Seems to be just fine. But the car is new to me, so I don't know how long it's been.
A lot of my buddies have their carbs rebuild as part of their tune-up.

If you just bought the car a good tune up is not a bad idea. I would not include the carb unless there is a problem. EFI is not for everybody. If you are only driving the car as a hobby, you will never recover the cost.
