How often do you drive your Oldsmobile?

I try to drive mine at least once a week, two is the longest I've gone without taking it around town or for a short highway drive. I'd like to drive it more, keep the fluids moving, but the price of gas and my 30 mile round trip to work would get pricey fast with the thirsty 455. Just wanted to see what you all do.

I drive Teepo as often as I can in the summer time! Usually 3-4 cruise in's a week, and shows on the weekend. I put 100 miles on her yesterday going to Alliance and back, and 60 some on her Saturday. I've put over a thousand miles on her since I got her out of the garage back in April!! I love to drive her!!!!

2x a month maybe. New England winters are bad, I keep her in the garage from november till april. Probably had 50-60 miles put on her this year (I know, awful).

But the car has had some problems that I'm in the process of trying to fix. Would drive it more, if I could.

Maybe twice a week, but well clear of the Malls and areas of congestion. Winter also comes early up here in Wisconsin.

This was the first all olds show i've ever been too, it was almost too much to take in, it has like heaven , lol !! I should have figured a few of you guys would have been there. I thought my olds was pretty clean but there was alot of really nice cars there that put mine to shame. I'm a little shy but will have to introduce myself a little more next year

Well, yeah, lol! I could have introduced you to a few other members that were there. Did you meet or see Kurt... "W Machine" off of the forum? He was handing out flyers about the Wild About Cars site.

It was a great show, wasn't it?? Surrounded by all those beauties! My sister and I wandered up and down your row there a few times. God they were all beautiful!! Your car is very, very nice!!!!! Did you go over and meet Teepo, lol??

2010 = Maybe 1K-2K miles.
2011 = 0 miles , it's being completely customized with an LSX / T-56 6 speed
2012 = It will be my summer time daily driver.

Lexus DD will probably get sold once I get my AC installed in it.
Unless I do end up putting the Twin Turbo or Magnacharger setup together on it.

Do they have the northeast show there every year?

Wow, most of you drive them quite a bit. I would like to start driving mine more. The few responses to this thread I read this morning before I left for work inspired me and I drove mine to work today. It was fun, mostly 65 - 70 mph cruising.

I drive mine when time permits as this is my busy season as a contractor. Maybe 2 times in a week if lucky. I sure do enjoy it when I can! It has been a hot summer up here in Mi., so I am still waiting to purchase the Classic Air system for mine. Maybe next year??? I have put about only 800 on her this summer.

Whenever I can... 3 or 4 times a week if I don't go up to the lake... Last weekend I ran 4 tanks of gas through it with no real destination. Just enjoying the exhaust rumble.Drove it both days again this weekend. It's a whenever I need to run into town and dont need a truck deal.

Yep. The show is always there. Or at least for the last 3 years that I've went, it's been there. It is overwhelming, I agree!! I just get high on Oldsmobiles when I'm there, lol!! Hope to meet you next year!!

There is the BOP coming up this Sunday, Sept. 4th over at Summit Racing in Tallmadge..... Hope the rain misses.... There were lots of beautiful Olds' there last year. I got a top 20 trophy, and my friend Carl with the beautiful blue Cutlass S got a top 5 or something like that!!

I think I am going to start taking mine to work at least once a week. It may get driven other times during the week also, to take my wife to the store etc...

The mileage does hurt sometimes, but it sure is fun. I think my driving style mysteriously changes when I get behind the wheel of the Olds, more gravity down by the accelerator pedal or something...

About 3500 miles a year all during the spring and summer months. About once a month when the roads are clear during the winter.
I do not mothball my car preferring to drive it on ocassion instead weather permitting.

That's cool, I should try to get my old man to dust off his 69' Goat and we can drive out there! I remember that blue cutlass S, pretty sweet ride, it looks just like one i saw that a guy owned in austintown. What time is the summit show and is there a reg. fee?

Mines a weekend driver. I only work 5 miles from home, so gas isn't an issue, but parking is... and I really don't care to leave it in harms way when I don't have to. I work 4/12's, so the car cover goes on Sunday night and comes off Friday morning... pulling that cover off on Friday morning is the highlight of my week!
