Car spotting

I was driving through my neighborhood today and spotted this around the corner from my house.

Nice. Our family had a 1964 Buick Wildcat convertible same color scheme.

Hey, does anybody on CO live on Vancouver Island and own a Trophy Blue '69 4-4-2 post coupe? Reason I ask is, on my way to town this morning I saw one driving along our lakeside road in the opposite direction from me. I was going to turn around and follow him, so I could at least take a picture but I was already late. Looked to be in fairly decent driver condition and largely original at a glance in bad weather conditions -- the funny thing was, the driver was out tooling around in a monsoonal rainfall!

I had seen this car for years. I finally tracked it down at his work. Great twenty footer. I was actually surprised at how rough it is. Doesn't look it in pictures. Green on green on green.

Looks good in the pictures for sure.

Geez...another 1/4 inch forward and he'd be doing some bumper work. Could he have gotten any closer to that pole?🤔

The front bumper shows that he judges the distance by bumping the pole daily. It really is funny how good it looks in pictures. It isn't horrible. Definitely a nice driver. Rougher in person than it looks. This car has been in this neighborhood for decades.

This is another cool driver that is frequently by my house. Sport mirrors. Sport wheel and factory tach. Tach only. Funny to see a 70 without a W-25 hood. No stripes. No wing. I like it. I dig white interior cars.

I see this fella in his 1970 442 every now and then. I guess he’s on a breakfast / coffee run while I’m on my way to work. Steel hood (not OAI) and no towel rack. Plain ol 442 as they were back when.

It's at a place called Lakes Muscle Cars in Trevor, Wisconsin. We usually pass it on our way to GLDW. They always look closed and I rarely see any muscle cars. The 59 has been sitting there for years.

I recall reading about that chicken 73 98. There could be another thread on our site featuring it. As if a 73 98 weren't big enough already.

Ran across this beauty yesterday. Man talk about ridden hard and put away wet...
No door panels. No console. Seats are stripped down to the springs. The body speaks for itself. Yikes 😬

Poor car.

Those are the ones I buy to redo. Get it for great price 1000 or less and then do just just the body work and sell to someone who will do the rest for themselves 15000 all day long now.

One hell of a "someday" project. Man it's beat. No carpet. Pretty sure no back seat either.

Kinda looks like the car Woody Harrelson drove in the movie Kingpin.

If I remember correctly, there were several different year cars he drove as the car became more neglected. It’s been a long time since I saw that move, but an Olds fanatic notices details like that.

Have you noticed how many of Woody Harrelson's movies he drives an Oldsmobile? Even as far back as White Men Can't Jump. There has to be something there.

My neighbor texted me these pics last saturday from right around the corner. I know most local Olds guys but never saw this one. I would have liked to get a closer look to see if the X in VIN. Looks pretty nice.
