Car Hauler Recommendation

Anyone recommend someone to trust for moving an Olds from Missouri to Ohio?

Thanks-

try to resist the temptation to dial up 'u-ship'.

its fraud. you do not deal with haulers like the tv shows at all. you deal with thousands of 'freight brokers' who get their license and work from the kitchen table who make promises and place the terms on the truckstops outlets (the tvs with loads listed) and hope someone agrees. you are basically doing a reverse haul up the old us 66 route to i70 and you will get takers, but who you talk to and pay (upfront, no refunds) will not be the person who does the work. personal experience dealing with them.

there is something to be said for doing somethings yourself if you can drive a truck down and rent an aluminum hauler or perhaps a dolly for the reverse.

otherwise fire up google and look for LTL (less than load) hauling or auto transport.

No pun intended, but Reliable Transport is probably one of the most reliable... Oldsmobile Division used them for years transporting vehicles to and from the National Meets...

I recently used Crestline Auto Transport ( part of Crestline logistics Phone 214-382-5000)out of Dallas Tx to move my 69 442 from Dallas to Tucson, Az on short notice. Price was reasonable and move was very smooth and professional. Picked up on Fri night delivered to my driveway on Sun morning.
If you call them ask for Jennifer. She was a great help to me.
Good luck and be careful with a unknown mover

curious, and off topic, I see reliable trucks (meaning the movers, not trucks that just run and run) and I had always assumed that they are part of the reliable van & stg agent for allied van lines.

same font, same name, same AVL orange....brothers? cousins? (step dad used to pull for avl and i ran with during summer break to earn college $$ - been to the pen many a time)

I have only heard good things about Reliable, I personally used Horseless Carriage to ship our '40 Coupe from MD to TX and was pleased.

I used Monarch Car Shipping and was pleased.

Based on a recommendation from the thread linked below, I used Monarch Car Shipping for moving my '65 Vista Cruiser from Canton, Connecticut (near Hartford) to Hinckley, Ohio (near Cleveland). $550, open, and I was pleased, would definitely use them again. Robyn at Monarch was quite good, as was the driver. Car arrived on schedule and, more importantly, unscathed.
