May sound crazy, but I once read on an Olds site where a guy sent his car FEDEX. Said it was inside a trailer and the cost compared to other companies was much cheaper. This individual praised FEDEX on the delivery job they did.

I sent my car via Fed Ex Auto transport. Great service but the cost was quite a bit more than an open trailer. I figured with new paint I want it safe, out of site and away from rocks, rain and who knows what else. IM me if you want there info. they are not the cheapest but move lots of very high end cars. Mine was in the storage next to a few including a 70 gto convertible frame off fresh from auction
