Can someone break down my vin number for me?

It's not a rare or expensive model but I just wanted to learn about the codes in a vin. 3J39K2Z114998. Thanks

3 = GM division = Oldsmobile
J39 = model series and body type = Cutlass Supreme Hardtop Sedan
K = engine = 350cid 4bbl (L34) with single exhaus
2 = model year = 1972
Z = assembly plant = Fremont CA
114998 = assembly plant sequence number

we have put way more money in her than we will ever get out but we love it. Probably not that many survived out of 15,000. Especially with no B post. Is there a way to know how many made without the B post?
