Does it count as a barn find if it's in your own barn?
No, I'm not proud of this. Life has a way of getting in the way (as does work, children, and a couple of ex-wives... )
The good news is that the fact that you can see this car means that the restoration has officially begun. Bumpers and other chrome is coming off to be dropped off at Carlisle next week. My goal is to have this done for the 2018 Nationals (and coincidentally, my 60th birthday present to myself). Stay tuned.
John, shop clutter is like quicksand only slower. In a few more years it will be totally out of sight and out of mind.
It was almost out of sight until I donated the Ciera that was in front of it last summer... The stuff on top of it is very light weight, shouldn't sink into the obis too quickly... Like Joe, I am hoping to start on it this year...
Hello Joe, Who are you using to rechrome your bumpers? Thanks
Qual Krom in Erie, PA. They do phenomenal work. I figure I can drop them off at Spring Carlisle and pick them up at Fall to avoid shipping costs. I did this with my VC bumpers.
