Barn find?

Does it count as a barn find if it's in your own barn?

No, I'm not proud of this. Life has a way of getting in the way (as does work, children, and a couple of ex-wives... )

The good news is that the fact that you can see this car means that the restoration has officially begun. Bumpers and other chrome is coming off to be dropped off at Carlisle next week. My goal is to have this done for the 2018 Nationals (and coincidentally, my 60th birthday present to myself). Stay tuned.

Good luck with your project Joe,
Here's one of my barn finds, it's been stored in that corner since I built my new shop in 2000...

John, shop clutter is like quicksand only slower. In a few more years it will be totally out of sight and out of mind.

It was almost out of sight until I donated the Ciera that was in front of it last summer... The stuff on top of it is very light weight, shouldn't sink into the obis too quickly... Like Joe, I am hoping to start on it this year...

Good luck Joe! Putting a time constraint on your project just makes it harder...in my experience. I mean...don't let that stop you.

They all were in a barn sometime. Makes you wonder if you will ever get it back together.

I would freak if I walked into those sheds/garages/outhouses and saw something like that.

Qual Krom in Erie, PA. They do phenomenal work. I figure I can drop them off at Spring Carlisle and pick them up at Fall to avoid shipping costs. I did this with my VC bumpers.

Yeah, but I've taken procrastination to an art form, so I need a hard deadline to get anything done.

Yours looks like less work than Joe's. Awesome car Joe. As we get older, we get better at making excuses.
