67 Steering Wheel/Hub/Column Question

I recently installed a Grant GT wheel in my 67. There is about 1/2" gap between the hub trim and the column. It was there with the factory wheel as well. Am I missing some sort of trim ring, or is that normal? 66/67 owners, please post some pictures.

Sounds like the column needs to be adjusted upward.

One thought...maybe the column shaft is collapsed? I think 67 is a one year only column, there's like a cage around the column that collapses in an accident, first year for that. Could be the wrong adaptor. Definitely not normal, even with the aftermarket wheel.

Hmmmm, thanks. I have a 66 f-85 here that I just checked, and it doesn't have more than 1/8".
It's definitely not the correct adapter; I cobbled it together out of a box of parts. Gap was the same with the factory wheel.

X2 on the hub adapter, I have a Grant wheel on mine with no gap.
