The 311 is 1964, not 1965. The carb is a Rochester 4-Jet. Not a Q-jet.

Rumor is 442 production didnt start until November of 1964. So the car that came in was built early in the 1965 model year (calendar year 1964).
This makes better sense I should have realize mid year starts the next year builds

My documents show F-85 production started on 8-24-64. 442 production may have started later as my documents do not differentiate between the models.

The earliest 442 we found over on my forum was 3rd week of November. Garys coupe was the earliest along with another 442

Are you avoiding my question on your forum. After all I have done for you and you treat me like this?

I replied over there a few hours ago. The pics I posted are from a 400 I have. I figure its a fairly late build, since its 20,211 head stamp is less than 5,000 units from the end of 442 production. If B heads were used they had to have been late August cars. We have a few of those on record but no engine info to go along with them.

Yes I saw that you responded. As I previously posted I found a couple of 65's in a guys yard over in GA over 30 years ago and they both had B headed engines. They looked pretty much original but who knows. John Galehouse who was the OCA Long Term membership director supposedly has a 65 with B heads. I will try to contact hi to see if this is correct and get the info from the engine.
