64 olds 98 2 door coupe
help please...I don't know how to use this I'm new on this,.. anyway I bought a 1964 Oldsmobile 98 do believe a sports coupe 2 door...no factory a/c... It has 15" 235/75/r15 on them now .it's ready for a little body work and paint this week... I'm wanting to go wider tires all around the widest and taller the better.i bought 15×7 5×5 (vn109 TT-O ) American racing rims... And I can't find anyone that knows anything here in Florida about lifting the back an inch or 1 1/2 to raise the back . found$50. Spacers for coil springs that say fits my car ???? Thanks joe
These cars originally had 14" wheels so someone along its way put 15" on it. Big 14" tires are hard to find so 15" can be considered an upgrade.
Your limiting factor on tire width will be the rear fender skirts.
Is this a bucket seat and console car? If so that's a Ninety Eight Custom Sports Coupe. Those also came with Starfire engines, heavier duty HydraMatic and 3.42 gearing same as the B-body Starfire.

If you get aftermarket wheels know that they will have to clear the front hub. The speedometer runs off of the front, driver's side hub. The new wheels center bore diameter will have to be large enough to accommodate the hub and the center cap depth will also have to clear.
Springs
If I knew what size the original spring is I'd buy an inch bigger if that works? Thanks Flemming 442

That's fun to play with. Plug the part numbers into rockauto or Amazon for pricing. Most GM A/G body springs used to be around $50/pr a few years ago, but, like everything else, pricing has increased significantly.
