1951 Olds 98 Holiday Coupe

Does anyone know how many of these were built.

I had one in high school in the 60’s and my Dad always told me how rare the car was.
It was two toned paint, white top with green metallic lower. It had leather seats, power seats and windows(hydraulic), 303 cu in and the hydramatic transmission.

All these years later I have only encountered maybe two.

Any thoughts?

Thank you.

Hyd. is not an abbreviation for Hydra-Matic Drive. It is an abbreviation for hydraulic controls (windows and seat). The 'base" 98 coupe did not have hydraulic controls or leather upholstery. The answer to the original question is 14,012.

I also own that exact car: 1951 Olds 98 Holiday Coupe, Palm Green and Sand Beige, hydraulic power windows and seats.

So there's yours, mine, and 14,010 others!

If we take what is considered the average life of a 60 year old car(1 to 2%survival rate) it would seem that they are in deed quite rare, less than 250 examples still running around the world.....Tedd

...and mine is not currently one of those ~250! It's on jack stands and covered in a light layer of sawdust from other projects.
