394 timing cover use iron or aluminum?

i have a 63 and my replacemet motor is a 61. the 61 has a cast iron timing chain cover the 63 has aluminum. now as being a mechanic by trade ive had real horrrorrr stories of ford aluminum covers. water pump bolts snapping. castings oxidizing and pushing gaskets, pin holes.which would you use? only drawbacks i see to iron is , pump more expensive, bolts are for a generator bracket(at bracket too low to hold an alt, tried it wil have to modify), ananyne who knows these cars wil pick it off as not being 63. as for the aluminum the draback is oxidation, bolts freeze gaskets push paint flakes. any insight? thanks allan
