WIW # 5 heads 4 bbl aluminum intake and iron. What are they worth?

I have access to a set of #5 heads and a 4 bbl intake.

What are the heads worth? Has valves, springs and rockers. They need rebuild. They are from a marine block.

The block is in a 79 olds cutlass. IT will be crushed in two days. Anything special there?

Also an intake. The faq site says this

398663 '68-'69 350 2bbl. Iron.

But it is a 4 bbl intake. Value?

Also a 1982? olds factory aluminum intake.
# 22504068

Are the good intakes? Value?
Thanks

OK, I'll take a stab at this. A few years ago before the economy went down I'd say $200 for the #5 heads in rebuildable condition. Now I'd say more like $125-150. The 4bbl intakes, both cast and aluminum would be $35-50. These prices would sell to other members here and they would have to add shipping costs to it. I feel pretty sure on the cast iron intake, I've never sold the newer aluminum one.

If its easier to purchase the whole motor then take it apart at home, you've still got small parts like the oil filter adapter, pullys, brackets, oil pan, valve covers, etc. I've sold a lot of small parts for $10-20 to members here that don't have access to wrecking yards with this vintage stuff anymore.

My 2 cents...

Worth?

A 79 350 is actually a 350R, but if it had 5 heads on it, the R is out the window.

The 350 is a decent motor, not to be overlooked. The manis you speak of. The 68-69 mani is a 2 barrel. It amy be worth something to somebody, but it's not really a great mani, plus they weigh in around 55 lbs.

The 82 4 bbl mani, sounds like an A4 mani. It's not a bad mani. It's pretty equal to a Edelbrock 3711 manifold

Hi John
thanks for taking a stab at it.

Pick a part has some pretty high prices nowadays! I have two omegas and I thought they might be good heads to use or to sell to a member.
Unless the block has something special about it since it is a marine block, I most likely will not buy the whole motor. They heads are off the motor and in the trunk.

you forgot to give me a shot at what you think the values are. lol

The intake is a weird one. The cast # says 2 bbl but it is a 4 bbl. NO doubt about it. I know the difference.
I was thinking since the intake is for the older engines, it might have a little more value to it.

The engine is a marine block. I don't know what the difference is. It is NOT the original motor for the car.
The valve covers say Berkley marine on them.
