can anyone help I purchased a 69 old conv. I really want a bench seat it came with buckets so it has the automatic shifter on the floor I want to know if its possible to switch to a column shifter so I can put a bench seat I've been searching the net but no luck on any how to videos or how to guides.

 

Not surprised there are no how-to videos -- most people would want to go the other way or leave it alone altogether. It could certainly be done, though. Steering column, shift quadrant, linkage, a plug for the hole in your floor and you're pretty much there. Between the repop houses and the vendors on this site, I'm sure you'd be able to gather up the necessary parts.

the only reason I would want to change from buckets to bench seats is if I was still 17 years old and to lazy to jump in the back seat
