1969-72 4 barrel air cleaner differences?

1969-72 4 barrel air cleaner differences?

Can someone please acknowledge me on the differences of the 69-72 olds air cleaners????

One obvious difference is that original 1968 and 1969 units were painted orange, versus black on 1970-72 units. 1968s have a unique snorkel and choke hot air tube setup as well.

I'll throw out info on the oddball in the bunch: The code NH dual snorkel, dual ventilation unit was used on later-build 1971 442s without OAI, and it was also used on all 1972 455/M20 (V Code) cars without OAI. 1972 TH400 (U Code) 455s used a single snorkel unit.

Thanks for the info Terry. I wasnt sure what the difference between a 69 and 70 would be other than the red color.
