1968 4 Barrel Air Cleaner Differences

Can some tell me the differences between a 1968 OE air cleaner for the 350 and the OG air cleaner for the 455.
If I am not planing to use any of the hot air ducts can they be interchanged?

wmachine had a good thread last year(?) that had photographs of various 1968 air cleaners and discussed the difference. If you have time try the search option to see what you can find. John

OE is for a small block and has an extra piece welded on the inlet of the snorkel...OG is a 400 breather and the snorkel is wider and does not have the extra piece welded on...try that... If you don't use the duct work it doesn't matter...although the heat stoves are completely different...
