1968 Cutlass 2-Speed Jet Away Transmission Question

I understand the Oldsmobile version of the infamous Power Glide was referred to as the Jet Away. Does anyone know if the bellhousing is unique or if it is able to work on a Chevy motor without revisions? I was asked by someone and seem t get conflicting information on some searches. Thank you

It uses the Buick, Olds, Pontiac pattern not the Chevy pattern.

Your first mistake is assuming that the Jetaway (generic name: Super Turbine 300) is in any way related to the Powerglide. Other than having two speeds, the ST300 has ZERO in common with a PG. No parts interchange between the two transmissions.

HOWEVER, the ST300 was used behind the Chevy I6 in the 1966-69 model years. Those cases actually have a dual pattern bellhousing that WILL bolt to a Chevy pattern. Note the added bolt hole bosses on this trans.

How common is it for a dual bolt pattern ST-300 trans to be factory installed in an Oldsmobile?

It was installed in every Olds with an I6 and an automatic from 1966 through the end of ST300 production in 1969.

There were some produced with the dual bolt pattern. My sons' 67 F85 with the 250 six cylinder came with the famous Jetaway and it is a dual pattern.
