Has any one ever used one of these?
ACCEL makes a corrected HEI GM cap and rotor kit that is supposed to put all the EVEN wires on one side and then all the ODD wires on the other to prevent the "tangled up" look.

Believe it or not, the plug wires are routed in a certain way to reduce crossfiring and inductive electrical interference. I've seen it addressed in some early 60s Service Guilds and Tech Bulletins.
Yes, you don't want the wires for successive cylinders in the firing order to run parallel to each other. 5 and 7 is the pair you need to look out for on an Olds. 8 and 4 to a lesser extent.
