Trying to find one to increase idle when air is turned on. The original one is broke at the connection. Definitely need one as when in park it idles to fast and has run on. Tried Oreillys as they had my tail light sockets but no luck on solenoid. Any ideas?

 

I recurved the distributor so initial is around 18º and after that the idle doesn't drop when turning the AC on.

Disregard. I reread performance ignition and I raised timing when rpms drop with air turned on. This distributor really has nice feature including theft deterrent

 

Thanks that's what I did. I'm at 14 degrees in gear no air. Turn on and the rpm does drop and I put timing at 18 degrees. I can run 87 octane in Az heat without pinging

I have a fast idle solenoid (I think for a Q-Jet) if you find that you still need the extra RPM bump.
