Wiper Woes - 70 Vista Cruiser

Spent this afternoon installing a new switch in my 70 after I discovered that the wipers weren't parking.

I had assumed that this would clear the problem right up, but it's still not parking properly.

I won't rule out that it might be a bad switch, it is Chinese after all. However I pulled apart the old one and they're a pretty basic (and not very quality) design.

It will sometimes park, I noticed that if I fool around with the switch by putting it in the off position and moving it around left and right a bit I might get it to park. I did one time notice a spark inside the switch when doing this.
Currently I don't have the actual button so I'm just using the shaft - not sure if this would matter.

The washer pump doesn't work when I push in either but I doubt that's an issue with the new switch.

Does anyone have any ideas? I'm wondering if maybe I just have a poor ground that's preventing them from parking or if maybe I do have a dead on arrival switch?

I should add that both High and low speeds on the new switch work fine!

Most likely the problem is the park relay in the wiper motor, or the wiring that controls it.

I would agree, likely the part circuit.
I pulled the motor to do some bench testing and noticed that some of the internal mechanism (plastic) used for the pump was broken. SO I will replace the whole unit and see if that resolves the issue.

Spent some time on the phone with someone who repairs these and they confirmed that it is an issue with the parking mechanism inside the motor.
I am sending it out for restoration rather than replacing with a repo.
