terminal on fuel sender wire?

So lately I've been having to give the wire to the top of the tank a wiggle/tug to get the fuel gauge to work a few times a week. I've done some research and it seems the terminal on top of the tank seems to be the culprit.

This thread from ROP has some pictures of the suspect area.

Where can you get this terminal, or is there else that can be done?

Inline tube has the fuel sender pigtail, if you want fix it forever, I would clean it up and solder the wire directly to the brass terminal.

I don't see it on there site, is a phone call required?

The solder solution is intresting may end up going this route if I can't find the pigtail.

It’s under new products.

Part Number - INL10613 1968-72 Cutlass 442 Fuel Tank Sending Unit Lead Wire $18.00

I was able to crimp my factory one and clean both the pigtail socket and the post with 320 wet sand paper.

Best of luck to you, sounds very annoying
