Speakers for a Stock AM/FM Oldsmobile Stereo?
Hi all.
I am planning on installing an AM/FM Oldsmobile (93AFM1) radio in my 71 CS.
I have it running on the bench with some cheap house speakers, everything works.
My goal is to use two 6x9 speakers (8 ohm) in the back trunk deck.
I assume the output of this radio is low, guessing 10-15 watts per channel?
My question is, what is a good match for off the shelf speakers for this type of radio?
Most of the speakers I have seen on the web are rated 200-400 watts. I doubt the 45 year old rig would work with those. I think I need a speaker that will run great from 0.5 to 50 watts.

Turn Switch makes some nice 10 Ohm replacement speakers that will fit your application.
