Cool No fire!

Hey people wassup. I have a 1993, olds Achieva 3.3
I recently encountered a problem, I have no power when you turn the ignition on, replaced the batt with a brand new one, still nothing. Been trouble shooting the electrical side of things for days, still no answer, help.

Welcome to the site, I moved your post here and deleted all the others that were scattered around.

Have you checked fuses and fusible links, alarm, cables, etc? Does the horn or dome lite, headlights or any thing work?

Thanx I have checked all fuses, batt cables, etc. Gonna check the fusable link tomorrow, that is the only thing I didn't get a chance to get at.

Everything is completely dead, no power at all when you turn the key.

The horn is ahead of the ignition switch. If the horn does not blow my guess is it's probably the fusible link.Try and jump the battery hot lead to the horn relay and see if anything works. I would use a multimeter start at the battery and see where the juice stops. Have you checked all the ground straps? ...Just a few thoughts ...Tedd

If you have power , but no crank it could be the resistor style key the ingnition switch would need to be replaced. If this is the problem you can ohm out the old key and by pass it by soldering in the right ohm resistor
