* No Brakes Lights Please Help...

I am currently working on my 1972 Cutlass trying to do everything before I get it on the road. I have no brakes lights. I changed the stop light switch and still nothing. My lights work regularly just do not flash when I apply the brakes. Any ideas would be great I don't want to get rearended. thanks alot

all lights work, but i have no brakes lights, They do not brighten up when I apply the brake. same with the lights off. I did a search on the net and came across some stuff for old GM's and people are suggesting the turn signal switch? Not sure though.

You are correct, but it's a long shot. A few more questions...
Do your front turn signals work?
Do your 4-way flashers work?
Does your "key left in the ignition" buzzer and horn work?

Last stop...check for voltage at the stop lamp switch (orange wire).

If it's not that...I'm afraid I'd start looking at that turn signal switch.

Get a Chassis Shop Manual (forget Chiltons and Haynes) on ebay. It'll pay for itself!
