Ignition Switch

Need help on replacing an ignition switch for a 74 Olds Delta 88 ?

If you are talking about the electric ignition switch and not the lock cylinder, just drop the column. You'll see the switch on the top side of the column, near the firewall.

Why do you need to replace it?

Maybe he means the key & tumbler? If so, also easy enough if you have the right tools to pull the steering wheel & lock ring.

As well he may. Of course, we'll never know if he doesn't say that.

And, though it is annoying and painful, I have never had a problem getting the lock ring off without the special tool (I'm a glutton for punishment ).
