This is the wiper motor on my '78 Toronado. I turned the wipers on today and they went up to vertical position and stopped dead. So I've got to do some troubleshooting.
Anyway, these types of connectors drive me crazy because I never know how to pull them apart (stick a screwdriver in over here, squeeze something over there, whatever). I'm always afraid I'm going to damage something if I pull too hard because I never know if I'm pulling hard because the connection is just tight and it hasn't been apart in 40 years or because I'm doing it wrong and haven't released a catch somewhere.
I've removed mine and others of the same type numerous times. It pulls directly out of the socket - no pinching, no squeezing, no clips. Thumb on one side inside of index finger on the other - give it a little 'rocking' motion and it will pull straight outwards.
EDIT: I might suggest if it's seriously 'stubborn', spray some circuit board contact cleaner into the plug & receptacle - it might help to edge it out.

Thank you! After reading your post, I went out to the garage, got a good firm grip on each one, and gave a good tug. They came off without a problem. But I needed the confidence to pull so hard. Thanks again.
