help id wire on 66 engine harness

66 cutlass convertible, replaces the fuse panel/dash harness last year. Now i looking at the engine harness that plugs into back of fuse panel. one wire is black with white stripe. The other is a fabric/cloth white with small black stripe. These wires along with other unused wires were taped off years ago .Black wire is only about 16 inches long with a connector. None of my wire diagrams show these wires. Trying to clean up some old work. Thanks

The cloth one is the resistance wire that goes to the coil + terminal. Black supplies ground to the horn relay from the horn button?

it has a connector on end and is same length as the wiper motor wiring, is it part of the wipers? Or what else would be near the wiper motor?

Even a dead clock is right twice a day, unless it is digital.
Do they color it the same as parking lights? I don't have diagram for it.

I just got home and looked at mine, a 67. Makes sense, mine does not have an underhood light, so apparently no black wire either.

I checked my original and the my American auto wire reproduction harness and the black with with stripe goes to the wiper motor. Black wire is not on the 66 wiring diagram, I checked my 67 diagram and the black wire is on it. Must be something to do with the round vs rectangular motor.

I looked at my windshield wiper motor and the black wire w/white stripe does indeed go to it as a single plug.
